Hello lovelys! First I have to apologise for no post on Monday. I went to Leeds to visit my family over the bank holiday weekend and just couldn’t find the time.
Today I’m going to be doing a first impressions on The Body Shop face mask in British Rose. I found this in The Body Shop store in the train station and had to try it out because it smelt so nice! I picked up 2, British Rose and Amazonian Acai as they had a deal on, buy 2 and get a free facial mask brush which usually retails for £8. The masks are £16 each and come in a lovely pot with 75ml of product.
The British Rose face mask claims to moisturise, tone, plump, hydrate and soothe the skin, and its key ingredients are rose petals and rose essence, rosehip oil and community trade organic aloe Vera.
The mask itself smells amazing. I was told by the woman in the store that a lot of people are put of because it’s smell seems very perfumed, which I would agree with, and usually that can be an irritant but in this product it does the opposite and calms and soothe the skin. It felt very cool and moisturising on the skin, I felt no itritation and actually it didn’t really feel like I had anything on my skin at all! I also found the scent wasn’t too strong whilst on my face. I worried that it would be overpowering but instead it was more delicate.
After 10 minutes I took the mask off using warm water and my skin felt incredible! It felt moisturised and smooth and everything it said on the tin! You can’t see much difference in the before and after pictures hower I can see that it seems to have reduced the slight redness on my cheeks and nose. This is only my first use so it will be nice to see how long my skin feels this way between uses and if it has any long term benefits but so far I am very impressed. The box says to use this 2-3 times a week but it also can be used daily if desired. I’m really looking forward to using this again and I’m hoping it helps with my dryness!
I hope you have enjoy this first impression and I will be updating you on this product after more use! Let me know in the comments if you have tried this range and what you think!
